Your Fellemberg type plum is actually of European descent, commonly known as 'Italian Prune'. The trees are self-fertile and produce medium sized sweet, purplish black fruit. The fruit is excellent eaten fresh, canned or dried. For larger fruit, thin them early in the season, spacing fruit 4-6 inches apart. Plant your trees in full sunshine and provide deep watering throughout the summer season.
