If you can't find the pests, I'm willing to bet you are dealing with slugs or snails. These pesky critters feed at night and hide during the day. You can control them with baits. I use a product called Sluggo. It is iron based and is harmless to birds, pets, children and beneficial insects. Be sure to apply according to label directions. Best wishes with your nasturtiums.
