My 1 year old rose bush has bloomed twice, very nicely, but now has lost all of its leaves. It dose not seem to be dead, just lost all of its leaves and no longer growing or producing buds.

If you haven't sprayed any chemicals in the area or on your rosebush I suspect the problem is heat related. Rose leaves can burn in the summer sun and the plant will drop the damaged leaves but usually replace them right away. However, in the summer heat the growth rate is retarded a little so it may take longer for it to re-leaf. In the meantime, be sure to water it as usual. Hope you see new growth soon!
