I have several statis plants that have overgrown due to all the rain we have had. When can I safely split them and transplant them to other areas in my garden? |
Statice, or sea lavender, is an annual plant and is not usually split or divided because it is a single plant. But you can dig and tranplant the extra plants if they are overcrowded. Choose a cool, overcast day to move them and try to dig deeply enough that you don't damage the roots. Otherwise the plants may be stressed and will fail to re-establish themselves in the garden. |
