Bottle palm trees grow in sun or partial shade in soil that is well drained but slightly fertile and moist. There's no calendar to tell you when to water - just water thoroughly and then wait a few days. Stick your finger into the potting soil. If it is still moist a half inch below the surface you won't need to water for a few more days. If it's on the dry side, it's time to water. Palms use more water when they are actively growing and when the weather is hot so check daily until you have an idea of how quickly the palm uses water in its particular growing spot. Good luck with your palm.
