I have two major issues with my garden: 1)Extensive black raised spots on the buds and flowers of my flowering shrubs, it eventually kills them; and 2)Orange spotting (not raised orange spots-the leaf feels smooth) on one my flower plants, Luna Hibiscus. Can you please tell me what these disease are and what I need in order to save my plants from these diseases? Thank you.

I'd like to be able to diagnose the problems with your plants but without seeing them, I'd only be guessing. Both sound like fungal/bacterial diseases but I can't really make a control recommendation until each one is positively identified. The best solution is to clip affected leaves and flower buds from each, place them in separate baggies and take or send them to your local cooperative extension office diagnostic lab. Contact: COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE St. Charles Parish, 1313 Paul Maillard Road, Suite E Post Office Box 1766, phone (985) 785-4473. Helpful folks there can identify the problesm and make suggestions for control.
