I have just purchased a plant called Burro;s Tail and am wondering what care/feeding/watering it requires. |
Donkey's Tail or Burro's Tail is a type of Sedum (Sedum morganianum) that grows 2-3 foot long stems, completely clothed with cylindrical leaves. It's a commonly grown houseplant in most parts of the country, and as an outdoor plant in the Southwest. Since it is a succulent it grows best in full sunshine (or near a bright window if it is indoors) and should be planted in sandy soil (or a cactus type mix if it is in a pot indoors). Water throughly and then allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. It won't need to be fed on a regular basis. Just water when it is dry and provide bright light to full sunshine. Enjoy your new plant. |
