My garden is burning up. My cuccumbers are curving and sguash won't grow past the blooms. What am i doing wrong

Excessive heat can cause the problems you describe. If there is any way to provide some afternoon shade, I think your plants will perform better. Can you drive some stakes into the garden to support some shade cloth? If so, it's an inexpensive way to provide a little shade - just enough to keep your plants growing without too much stress. Use 3-4' tall stakes and attach the shade cloth onto the stakes. This will allow good air circulation beneath the cloth to help prevent diseases and to keep heat from building up.
