Everything sounds just perfect for your containerized plants. I think they will continue to grow and produce well for you. You didn't mention fertilizing so here's a suggestion - plants in containers should be fertilized lightly because their roots are so concentrated in a small space. So, start feeding your plants with a water soluable fertilizer at a half strength dilution. I use Miracle Gro or Peter's houseplant ferilizer, mixing one tablespoon into a gallon of water and use this to feed my outdoor containerized plants every 2-3 weeks. Feeding in this manner will ensure your plants get a steady diet of nutrients without the possibility of overfeeding and burning the roots. Best wishes with your peppers and basil.
