Hello. I am new to gardening and owning a greenhouse but recently received one as a gift. However, I am beyond clueless as how/where to start. Do you have any advice?

Lucky you! Greenhouses, depending upon their size and whether or not you have climate control, can be used to extend the gardening season or for nearly year around growing of plants. Summertime is usually when greenhouses are emptied and cleaned so since you have a few months of summer weather still ahead of you, I'd suggest using this time planning and preparing for using your greenhouse for the first time. There are several good books on greenhouse growing. Ortho and HP (both good publishers) each have a book on greenhouse gardening. Check your local bookstore for these books. Once you have a better idea about how to control the growing atmosphere through heating and ventilating, you can begin to plan what you will grow. Greenhouses are good for starting seeds in the late winter months so you'll have transplants to set outdoors in the spring. They are also useful for keeping tropical plants alive over the winter months (if you have a heat source). I know your new greenhouse will turn into a hobby that you love. Enjoy your new venture.
