| Nicotiana tabaccum is a member of the Solanaceae or nightshade family. This family includes tomato, pepper, eggplant, Irish potato, and a number of other plants. It has the same growing requirements; lots of sunshine, plenty of water, and feeding when required. Fertilizers for tobacco could be the same fertilizers used for tomato, pepper, or potato.
