i HAVE A SMALL AREA BETWEEN MY BACK PORCH AND THE WALK WAY GOING DOWN BESIDE MY HOUSE WHAT CAN I DO WITH THAT SO I DON'T HAVE TO MOW THAT SMALL AREA OF GRASS?

Have you considered planting a ground cover in the area? You didn't mention whether the site is sunny or shady - or a combination of the two, so I'll suggest plants that adapt well to most soils and most sun exposures:

Abelia ? grandiflora ?Compacta? & ?Little Richard? = an evergreen groundcover with white flowers in the spring; Epimedium ? perralchicum - another evergreen with summer flowers; Liriope muscari (Blue Liriope); Ajuga (carpet bugle).

The beauty of groundcovers is that they are virtually carefree and most don't require mowing. Enjoy!
