The Q&A Archives: Bermuda Grass

Question: I live in Edmond, a suburb of OKC. I have bermuda grass creeping in on some stone work. Has anyone developed a product that will kill bermuda and not hard other plants?

Answer: No, there really are not any selective herbicides for bermuda. You can spot treat with glyphosate (Round Up) but it is a contact herbicide and will kill your other plants if you are not careful. Sometimes the best approach is to hand pull the weeds and then apply a pre emergent herbicide to keep the weed seeds from sprouting. Wish I had better news for you!
