Chrysanthemums and African Daisies are standards for a late summer early fall garden, but you might also plant Cigar plant (Cuphea micropetala), Pavonia (Pavonia lasiopetala), Verbena, Purple coneflower (Echinacea angustifolia), Mexican sage (Salvia leucantha), Japanese Anemone, Mealy cup sage (Salvia farinacea) and Indian blanket (Gaillardia sp.) for some nice fall color. Enjoy!
