The Q&A Archives: Worms on my Lettuce Leaf Basil

Question: How can I get rid of the worms on my plants with out using chemicals?

Answer: Since you plan to eat your basil, chemicals should not be used. You can handpick the worms or hose them off the plant with a strong stream of water. The worms are either butterfly or moth larvae and they just happened upon the leaves of your basil so discourage them by washing them off and your basil should be just fine.
