I planted my pole bean seeds weeks ago and now the first one is beginning to yellow around the edges of leaves. Has there just been too much rain here in PA?

If the yellowing leaves are at the bottom of the plant, it's probably just a natural aging process. Bean plants tend to lose their lowest leaves in favor of developing healthy new leaves at the top of the plant. If all the leaves are yellowing, it's a sign of heat stress or of too much water. Let's hope the rains stop and the soil has a chance to dry out!
