It depends upon your particular circumstances. Battery powered lawn tools are convenient because they are relatively quiet compared to gas and electric powered tools. They are light duty, in my opinion. But if you have a lot of yard work to do, they may run out of power before you are finished. However, you don't have to deal with long power cords as you would with electric tools. Gas run lawn maintenance tools are the most powerful but are also the noisiest - and then there's the concern of air pollution. I think the only drawback with electric tools is that you'll need extension cords and there's always the possibility that you'll accidentally cut into the cords while you're busy pruning or trimming. So, for a small yard with minimal lawn and plants that need maintenance, battery powered tools are a good choice. For larger landscapes with the need for powerful equipment, either gas or electric are fine. Hope you find just the right power equipment for your landscape.
