Water stress can cause an off color in foliage, as can a need for ferilizer. The brown spots could indicate a fungal disease but without actually seeing the leaves, I can't really diagnose the problem. You can simply cut off the affected foliage and stems. Pruning will encourage healthy new growth. Or, you might try a general garden fungicide to protect the unaffected foliage. Wish I could offer more suggestions.
