| I live in South Carolina, and my myrtles only a few blooms last year, and less this year(about 6). What can I do? I do trim them back every fall. |
| Crape myrtles develop flowers on new growth so wait until early spring to prune. This will encourage lots of new, and hopefully, flowering growth. After the flowers are spent prune your crape myrtle back again and it should respond with a new flush of flowering growth later in the summer. Enjoy! |
