Trim the pods to encourage blooms? Or what happens if left on shrub?
Same question for Arizona Yellow Bells.

Your Mexican Bird of Paradise will finish blooming in a few weeks. Removing the seed pods won't encourage new growth or additional flowers. You can prune your yellow bells back to remove the seed pods and to encourage additional flowering. Yellow bells will flower off and on all summer long. Enjoy!
