The Q&A Archives: snakes

Question: I have a small lawn and a small flower bed . every year I see small snakes on my lawn or in my flower beds what can I do to make them go a way.

Answer: Garter snakes are common in gardens and are beneficial - they feed on beetles and grubs. There is a product called Dr. T's snake repellent (yes it's for real!). I don't know if it works, but it's safe (made from napthalene) and may be worth a try. Contact Dr. T at P.O. Box 682, Pelham, GA 31779.
