When I bought the wave petunias they were full and the blooms were very big. Now in the full heat of the summer they have gotten long and lanky and the blooms are very small. Would it kill them if I cut them back hard in this heat? Thank you. Shirley

I would cut them back now and then pinch out the growing tips every few weeks. Petunias can slow their growth and flowering in hot humid weather but should still perform well for you. Just keep them pinched back to keep them bushy and full of blooms. Enjoy!
