| You can use outdoor foggers, house and garden products, and flying insect space sprays on the patio, and in the yard for effective control against mosquitoes and flies. There is a citrus scented geranium you can plant but it is only effective if the leaves and stems are crushed or bruised. Keep the soil on the dry side will also help deter pesky mosquitoes.
