Since the encore azalea blooms til late fall, when do I trim the branches? I have new growth in the azaleas and afraid if I trim the branches it might kill the azalea. Thanks.

Encore Azaleas require very little pruning to retain good form and do not need "dead-heading." If you think your Encore Azalea needs pruning, do so immediately after the spring flowering for maximum bud set. The next flush of flowers will come on new growth so pruning as soon after the spring flowers are spent will give your plant an opportunity to grow and bloom later in the summer. Enjoy!
