i have hostas. they keep getting holes in them and where something has been eating on them. i have purchased slug killer and several other critter killers but they continue to get holes in the leaves. what could be the problem ??

If you cannot find the critters munching on your hosta leaves I suspect you are dealing with slugs or snails. They feed at night so go out after dark with a flashlight to see if you can catch them in the act. If so, the iron based slug bait called Sluggo is quite efficient. There's nothing else I can recommend unless you find the suspect and have it identified. Best wishes with your hostas.
