How does one determine when honeydew melons are ripe enough to break off the vine? Your Q&A provided answers for watermelons and cantaloupes, but not honeydews.

Honeydews fall into the classification of winter melons, meaning they will ripen when the weather starts to turn cool. Most honeydews will 'slip' from the vine when they're ripe, just like cantaloupes.
