I have bleeding heart that bloomed beautifully in the late spring, however now it is turning completely yellow at the bottom. It is in a relatively shady spot close to some pine trees. All of the rest of the plants in the area are doing very well and are not suffering this yellowing problem.

Dicentra, the Bleeding Heart, is an early spring flowering plant that dies back to the ground in the summer, after it has finished blooming. When the foliage has completely withered and turned brown, cut it down at soil level. The roots of the plant will remain alive, and next spring will produce new stems and flowers.
