The Q&A Archives: garden planning

Question: can strawberries and tomatoes be planted next to each other?

Answer: Strawberries and tomatoes have the same cultural requirements so they can be planted near one another, but strawberries will send out runners which will turn into new plants so by the end of the season your tomato plants may be overrun by the strawberry plant. Aside from that, they can certainly share the same garden bed. Hope you have a great harvest!
