Salvias - Knowledgebase Question

My salvias bloomed beautiful and are now losing their purple color. Should I trim them back yet as this is only the beginning of July? Thanks for your response.

You can deadhead your salvias but it can be tedious. Clip off the entire spent bloom just below where the flowers were, but don't completely remove the flowering stem - if you take more than just the spent bloom you will be giving up some flowers from the 1 or 2 flower stalks forming just below the original.
