I had juniper blue on my steep slope front yard but after several years it died in sections, so I have pulled it all out and am looking to fill the 12 x 20 foot with a quick spreading ground covering that does well in partial shade and on a steep slope. Any suggestions?

Vining plants are usually fast growing. You might consider planting vinca minor, ajuga, pachysandra, or creeping phlox on the slope. For something with a little more height, you can plant daylilies or irises on the slope. There are lots of possibilities!
