Home grown cucumbers should be harvested when the fruits are 4 to 5 inches long and still a deep green. They won't be quite as large as the commercially grown cukes and if yours are turning yellow, they are over-mature and won't taste very good. But, the more you harvest, the more cucumbers your plants will develop so cut off those that are 4 inches long or longer and a deep green. This will keep your plants producing for the rest of the summer. Enjoy!
