The Q&A Archives: corn

Question: We planted corn this year, and had a few good ears. However, now they seem to be drying up. Did we plant too late in the season? Thanks for any help you can give us. Rose

Answer: You may have planted your corn too late. March or April are good months; August and September are your second opportunities to grow corn. Planting at these times will provide enough growing time for corn to mature priod to the dog days of summer.
