| You can simply list the problems with the tree and we can try to sort it out. Dogwoods are typically understory trees so they grow best with filtered afternoon sunshine, moist rich soil, and ample water. A deep soaking once or twice a week, depending upon weather is usually all a dogwood needs. They like acidic soils so if yours is alkaline you might mulch over the roots with peat moss and feed with an acidified fertilizer. It is not unusual for landscape trees and shrubs to suffer a little transplant shock. They can lose leaves or look wilty for a few weeks after being planted but they usually adjust within 2-3 weeks. You probably won't see any new growth until the weather cools. Hope I've covered everything.... |
