I would like to transplant a small Crepe Myrtle (aobut 6 ft tall). Is it ok to do that in July in Central Florida. |
The Florida summers are awfully hot! Moving it now can really be stressful for your crape myrtle. Couple the shock of having its roots dug up with the stress of summer heat and you can understand how risky being moved now might be for your crape myrtle. It can be done, but expect the leaves and small branches to wilt and some to drop off. I would wait until cooler weather this fall. |
