Building a pond isn't too difficult. You'll want to dig a hole with gently sloping sides, lay some sand on the bottom and then set a sheet of thick plastic over the soil, extending up over the sides and onto the ground (or use one of the pre-formed plastic ponds and just set it into the ground). Cover over the plastic that's on the ground with decorative rocks, set in a small submersible pump and fill your pond with water. The pump will help circulate the water to keep it from becoming stagnant and becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Plant in front of the decorative rocks to help hide them and hide the black plastic. Fill with water and enjoy your new pond.
