arborvitae's on roof garden decks near shoreline - Knowledgebase Question

how can u manage tree on roof gardens facing shoreline seacoast not far from ocean .about spray on tree's from the ocean please advise.

Unfortunately, arborvitaes are quite sensitive to salt so there's not much to suggest other than moving them to a protected place during stormy weather and hosing them off as often as possible to keep salt spray to a minimum. Colorado Spruce (Picea pungens) is very tolerant of salt spray, as is Yew (Taxus) so you may want to consider growing these on your rooftop deck instead of arborvitates.
