My habanero pepper plant is about 20" tall but there are no peppers yet and I'm wondering if this is normal? |
Your plant sounds like a good size so it should begin setting fruit soon. If you've had heavy rain recently, that could have interfered with pollination, but the plant will continue to produce flowers so don't be discouraged. Spraying plants with a solution of Epsom salts (one teaspoon Epsom salts per quart of water) will provide nutrients and improve fruiting. The peppers ripen in late summer/early fall, so you won't have a crop until then. |
