Tree roses are also called standards. Since tree roses are grafted onto tall root stocks, look for a 36 inch standard and it will grow to be 5' tall. If you're in a hurry for it to get tall, look for a 48" standard. I personally like the weeping roses such as 'Renae', which is a thornless climbing rose. When grafted onto a 48" rootstock it grows about 6' tall and the stems hang down about 3'. It is gorgeous when in bloom!
