The drainage from our swamp cooler empties onto our front lawn and pools. Our soil drainage is very poor. Any suggestions?

If the swamp cooler is on the roof it usually drains into the gutter system and comes out the drainpipe. If this is the case you can dig down just under the drainspout (about 2-3 feet) and fill the hole with gravel so the water can drain there and be soaked up by the soil below the level of your lawn. If the swamp cooler is at ground level you may have to run a hose from the drain down the property line or use a soaker hose with lots of holes in it to disperse the water over a 15-20' length so it doesn't puddle. Best wishes with your landscape!
