When should Jasmine be cut back? After blooming or spring?

Jasmine blooms on new growth so pruning in the spring will encourage healthy new flowering shoots; pruning periodically during the summer months may cut off some potential flowers but the new growth will flower so I'd prune it back whenever it begins to look unruly or is getting too large. It will recover quickly after pruning and send out lots of new flowering growth. Enjoy!
