Answer: New Mexico State University recommends the following trees for your high altitude garden: Fraxinus pennsylvanica (Green ash), Populus tremuloides (Quaking aspen), Quercus gambelii (Gambel oak), Cercis occidentialis (Western redbud), and Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa).
