I purchased a banna plant at you store yesterday. I am in zone 10 and we are having 106 to 110 degree heat this week. Should I wait to size up this plant until the weather cools off? My friend has one but it is well extablished in the ground. This one is a 6 in pot. Any help or tips you can send will be of great help.

I'd sure wait for the weather to cool down before planting or pruning your new banana plant. While you're waiting for the weather to cool, keep your banana plant well watered (daily if necessary) and keep it in a shady spot (an hour or two of early morning sun is okay for now). In October you can plant your banana plant in the ground. Best wishes with your new plant!
