The Q&A Archives: Suggestions for Blue Flowers

Question: I am trying to find any kind of blue flowers that I can plant in sun or shade. Is there such a thing as blue impatiens? Thank you. Almira Ulerick Virginia Beach, VA

Answer: Try the following: Cynoglossum amabile (chinese Forget-me-not), cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), Felicia bergeriana (Kingfisher Daisy), Myosostis sylvatica (forget-me-not), Nemophila menziesii (nemophila), Phacelia campanularia (phacelia) and Anagallis linifolia (Pimpernel). On page 34 of the Burpee catalog...Impatiens dazzler series Sky Blue (silvery blue) is probably the closest to a blue you'll see.
