The Q&A Archives: Summer Veggies

Question: I live in North Florida I was wandering if there were any summer vegetables or fruit you would suggest i could plant in my veggie garden that could take the heat.

Answer: About the only things you can plant now are lima beans and okra. If you wait until the weather cools in September and October, you can plant beans, beets, cabbage, cantaloupes, cauliflower, cucumbers, collards, leaf lettuce, onions, peas, potatoes and spinach. Enjoy your garden!
