I planted two blooming bushes in a partly shaded spot. sun 6 + morning, as suggested. The blooms fell; the plant won't grow; it's not dead, but there is absolutely non progress, no growth and no blooms whatsoever. What is the problem? |
Asiatic lilies bloom once in the early summer and then the plant stores reserve energy so it can grow and bloom next year. The larger the plant, the more flowers you will get. I think your plant has finished blooming for the season but you'll want to continue to water it regularly so it can manufacture and store carbohydrates for next spring's floral display. When the tops of the plants yellow and die you can trim them off at ground level. Enjoy your new lilies! |
