You can side dress your veggies with compost or aged manure. At the end of the season pull up the vegetable plant debris and dig the compost or manure into the soil. Next year plant as usual and mulch around the plants with compost or manure. Repeat this process each year and you'll have rich garden loam for your veggies without the need for synthetic fertilizers. Hope you have a great harvest!
