The Q&A Archives: Harvest seeds

Question: People say to remove spent blooms from a zinnia to help it look nice, but if you want to harvest th seeds what do you do to the plant?

Answer: If you want to save the seeds, let the flowers die on the stems. When the seeds have formed and the seed pod is a tannish color, cut the seed head from the plant and shake the seeds into a container to save for planting later.
