Something is eathing the blossoms off my roses and alstromerias. There are no deer in the area.

If you've eliminated deer as a possibility, how about local bunnies, raccoons, squirrells, etc.? If you're sure none of these critters are around then caterpillars are probably the culprits. Look for frass (bug poop) beneath the plants. Caterpillars typically consume leaves along with the flowers, but maybe you have some with more discerning tastes?
