| If the tree is healthy it should callous over the wound all by itself. Just leave the tree alone. There are wound dressings on the market but research shows that these products actually inhibit healing. Be sure to check the wound periodically to make sure no insects are attacking it. It may take a few years but the tree should callous over the injury. |
