I would like to know how well this Tucson-related tree would do in the Phoenix Metropolitan area (specifically Goodyear). Is there any specific care for these type of trees?

Ironwood Tree (Olneya tesota) is a slow growing tree that will reach 15 - 30 ft. tall. It has pinnately comound leaves and masses of lavender blossoms appearing in May. It is native to the Sonoran desert in Arizona and Mexico (Sonora, Baja California, Baja California Sur). It is a drought tolerant tree and grows well in the Phoenix area. As a native tree, all you'll need to do is plant it. No special care is needed. Enjoy!
